I believe there is no one who does not know Öznur Küçüker Sirene. Not only Türkiye but all of Europe knows her, the whole world knows her.
With her wealth of knowledge and culture, her command of several languages and her superb diction that astonishes even the French, Ms Öznur is a citizen of ours whose views are constantly sought by Europe’s and the world’s leading media outlets on world events, especially in the Middle East.
I have been following Ms Öznur for four years. Even though we have never met in person, my sister Öznur and I know each other. I closely follow her writings and social media posts.
Until today, we have known many people who lived in Europe yet betrayed their country, denigrating and disparaging it. Whenever we heard the phrase “a Turkish intellectual living in Europe”, we had begun to keep our distance — and then the Almighty suddenly placed Ms Öznur before us.
Ms Öznur lives in Europe, in France. For the Turks of Europe, she has become nothing short of a guide of revival, a guide of awareness. With her writings she has given courage to the Turks of Europe.

Today, “whoever cannot read the world cannot read the Middle East, and whoever cannot read the Middle East cannot read the world”. In this respect, Ms Öznur is a stroke of luck for our country. She reads both the world and the Middle East with the utmost precision, develops foresight and proposals, and writes and analyses them freely so that everyone may benefit. In Europe, she champions the higher interests of our country.
The word hopelessness does not exist in Ms Öznur’s vocabulary. With her insight, discernment, foresight and her steadfast culture of faith and spirituality, she analyses events and lays them before the public. She is always optimistic and hopeful for the future of our country. Rest assured, this optimism gives strength and vigour to our nation.
With a large following in Europe, in our country and in many countries around the world, Ms Öznur is doing in the media arena what our President, Mr Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and his team have successfully done in the political arena. She is a great support to our state. She explains our state’s truths to Europeans and to the world. In this respect, Ms Öznur is a most valuable writer who, like the members of the Presidential Government, has made Türkiye her cause and works day and night.

This is the third piece I have written about Ms Öznur Küçüker Sirene, an international relations expert who studied and resides in France.
Having personally witnessed through her work what a struggle she wages for our country and our state, I wrote this third piece as a reader’s thanks, in keeping with the truth that “talent thrives on appreciation”.
A Western thinker who came to our country during the Ottoman Empire’s most magnificent era, upon hearing a Mehter (Janissary band) concert, said: “Now I have found it…” When asked what he had found, he replied that he had been thinking such a magnificent empire must have advanced greatly in every field, in architecture, in literature, in music. “The Mehter has just proved it to me,” he said.
And I say: a Türkiye advancing towards world leadership with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan must have distinguished people trained to world standards in the fields of thought, analysis and international relations. Ms Küçüker is precisely one of our world-class intellectuals and activists. Thank God.
Ms Öznur works for her state and her nation to the point of self-sacrifice. I cannot even keep up with reading everything she writes.
And I say: with her trustworthy character, steadfast faith and accurate analyses, Ms Öznur, who inspires confidence in everyone, is a very important asset for our country.
I would like to end this piece with a beautiful saying I also quoted in my two previous columns.
I wish to express that the words of the great Islamic scholar Bediüzzaman, “Whoever devotes themselves to their nation is a nation unto themselves”, suit patriotic, heroic young people like Ms Öznur perfectly.
